Country Director – Palestine

About the role

Relief International is seeking a dynamic Country Director to lead its Palestine mission. Based in Amman, Jordan, the role involves frequent travel to Palestine and requires high‑level representation, fundraising, and strategic oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee program delivery, ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and meet compliance standards.
• Lead safety and security initiatives, maintain security plans, and promote a duty‑of‑care culture.
• Manage staff performance, recruitment, onboarding, and wellbeing while ensuring HR policy compliance.
• Identify funding opportunities, track donor trends, and build external partnerships.
• Represent the organization with donors, governments, NGOs, and UN agencies, and coordinate emergency responses.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in humanitarian settings, preferably with prior work in Palestine.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with attention to operational detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage risk, security, and compliance across complex environments.
