Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

Barzan Technology Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to strengthen the organization’s security posture. You will work within the cybersecurity team to ensure governance, compliance, and effective incident handling across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Support information security governance and ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.
• Maintain and organize security documentation, preparing audit‑ready records.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enforce security policies and keep documentation up to date.
• Monitor security alerts, review incidents, coordinate response actions, and track case resolution within the SOC.
• Collect, validate, and block Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) across firewalls, proxies, and endpoint security tools.
• Assist with firewall monitoring, rule support, and configuration.
• Utilize SIEM platforms to analyze logs and investigate security events.
• Operate Microsoft security solutions, especially Microsoft Defender, for endpoint protection and threat response.
• Deliver cybersecurity awareness sessions and training for employees and new hires.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and security governance frameworks.
• Experience with risk management, SOC operations, and incident response processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and communicate security concepts clearly.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining security documentation.
