Data and AI Consultant

About the role

The Data and AI Consultant will lead both presales and delivery of data platforms, analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, and AI/ML solutions for clients. The position is primarily remote with occasional client visits to Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client needs and translate them into clear technical solutions.
• Design data warehouse, lakehouse, BI, analytics, AI, ML and Generative AI architectures.
• Prepare client‑ready proposals, statements of work, cost sheets, solution diagrams and effort estimates.
• Build demos and proof‑of‑concepts for data and AI use cases and present them to business and technical stakeholders.
• Design and implement data pipelines, data models, dashboards, analytics layers and AI solutions.
• Perform data engineering tasks including ETL/ELT, data integration, quality checks and basic governance.
• Develop ML and Generative AI components using Python and relevant frameworks.
• Support deployment, testing, documentation, training and post‑go‑live support.
• Coordinate with vendors, partners and internal teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Required profile

• 4 to 8 years of hands‑on experience in data, analytics, AI or ML.
• Strong background in data warehousing, lakehouse, BI, analytics and data engineering.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools, data modeling, APIs, notebooks and cloud data platforms.
• Practical knowledge of machine learning, Generative AI, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, prompt engineering and model evaluation.
• Ability to independently prepare technical proposals and cost estimates.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
