Donor Engagement and Resources Mobilisation Intern

About the role

The Donor Engagement and Resources Mobilisation Intern will support UNRWA's Global Outreach Team in Amman, assisting senior staff with donor relations, analysis and proposal coordination. This six‑month, onsite internship offers hands‑on experience in international development, donor engagement and resource mobilisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare briefing notes and support bilateral/multilateral meeting logistics, including donor field visits.
• Draft political analyses and donor engagement strategies aligned with the annual workplan.
• Analyse key donors, funding mechanisms, and ODA data to identify opportunities for education, health, protection and cross‑cutting sectors.
• Coordinate proposal development with implementing departments, ensuring compliance with neutrality, gender, protection, livelihoods and peacebuilding criteria.
• Maintain and update donor engagement dashboards and sector‑specific factsheets.
• Support follow‑up activities and monitor upcoming funding calls.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or graduate programme (Business Management, Communication, International Relations, Journalism, Social Sciences or related fields).
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret international relations, donor aid flows and political priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
