Engineering Manager – Power Plant (CCGT) Project

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead day‑to‑day engineering activities for a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plant project. Based in Jordan, the role supports Middle East projects and acts as the primary technical liaison between office design teams, OEMs, vendors, and the site execution team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the engineering deliverables plan and register, coordinating priorities, inputs, reviews and approvals across all disciplines.
• Lead multi‑discipline design coordination (process, mechanical, electrical, I&C, civil/structural) to ensure integration and consistency.
• Coordinate technical interfaces with OEMs and key vendors (GT/ST/HRSG, generators, BOP), handling document reviews, deviations and issue resolution.
• Participate in EPC meetings, address gaps between EPC design and contract requirements, and support procurement and construction with technical clarifications.
• Drive technical change management, evaluate design changes, manage deviations and align IFC revisions with construction and commissioning sequences.
• Ensure constructability and operability reviews are completed, supporting safe and efficient construction and commissioning.
• Maintain engineering documentation control, including MDR, transmittals, drawing status, and support development of as‑built dossiers and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams on large‑scale power plant projects.
• Strong ability to act as the primary technical interface between design and site teams.
• Experience managing engineering deliverable schedules and coordinating with EPC contractors and clients.
• Capability to lead multidisciplinary reviews such as HAZID/HAZOP and constructability assessments.
