Finance Coordinator – Palestine/Amman Hub

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking an experienced Finance Coordinator to support its operations in the Palestine/Amman hub. Reporting to the Area Manager, the coordinator will lead accounting, financial management, donor budgeting and reporting for new proposals and realignments.

Key responsibilities

• Implement NRC’s financial systems, routines and procedures in the Area Office.
• Ensure compliance with NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines and donor requirements.
• Prepare and submit financial reports, analyses and donor budgets.
• Maintain budget control, monitor cash flow and oversee accounting, monitoring and reporting processes.
• Support line managers and project staff on financial matters, including training and procedural guidance.
• Maintain proper filing of all supporting documentation.
• Contribute to Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards.
• Update finance systems monthly and support preparation of spending plans and gap analyses.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial management within humanitarian or NGO settings.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance and budgeting processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines.
