Head of Project Management

About the role

Prezlab is seeking a Head of Project Management to establish and lead its new Project Management department in Amman. This dual‑mandate position combines hands‑on delivery of complex client engagements with the design of the processes, tools, and standards that will shape the future PM team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document an end‑to‑end project delivery framework covering intake, kickoff, governance, client communication, scope change, and closure.
• Own direct delivery of high‑value, strategically sensitive client projects as the primary client‑facing PM.
• Govern scope, revisions, and change requests against signed SOWs and flag commercial or quality risks early.
• Build and maintain a master project tracker for all active engagements across business units.
• Define templates for scopes of work, kickoff agendas, status updates, and retrospectives.
• Establish a PM cost‑rate model for pricing and an escalation matrix between PM level and leadership.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop the PM team, managing workload distribution and capacity planning.
• Coach the team on scope governance, client communication, and creative judgment; conduct quarterly performance reviews.
• Partner with Business Development and Account Management to ensure accurate scoping, pricing, and alignment.
• Produce a monthly department health report covering portfolio status, margin, utilization, and risk flags.
• Maintain the relationship between the PM function and creative/strategy teams to protect brief clarity.

Required profile

• 8+ years of project management experience, including at least 3 years in a creative agency, consultancy, or strategic communications environment.
• Proven track record of building or significantly restructuring a PM function.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity.
• Strong scope‑governance instinct and confidence in commercial client conversations.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication at a client‑facing level.
