Logistics Officer – Amman, Jordan

About the role

The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking a Logistics Officer for its Supply Chain unit in Amman, Jordan. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term position (renewable) that supports WFP’s mission to deliver food assistance to vulnerable populations in Jordan, including Syrian refugees and other at‑risk groups.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and monitoring logistics operations for food assistance programmes.
• Work with partners, suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of commodities.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventories and logistics performance.
• Ensure compliance with WFP logistics policies, standards and safety procedures.
• Contribute to reporting and analysis of logistics activities.

Required profile

• University degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in humanitarian logistics or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of WFP policies and procedures is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and communicate effectively.
