Network Engineer Tier 2 – NOC

About the role

We are looking for a Network Engineer Tier 2 to join our Network Operations Center (NOC). In this role you will lead complex troubleshooting, drive medium‑scale network projects and act as the primary escalation point for Tier 1 and NOC teams.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve critical and chronic LAN, WAN and security issues using packet captures, flow analysis and protocol inspection.
• Lead site turn‑ups, technology migrations, firmware upgrades and other projects from planning through implementation and rollback.
• Provide technical escalation support for Tier 1 analysts, mentor junior engineers and maintain runbooks and documentation.
• Review low‑level design specifications with Tier 3 engineers to ensure feasibility and operational supportability.
• Manage firewall policies, site‑to‑site and remote‑access VPNs, and IPS tuning.
• Execute changes under ITIL v4 Change Management with proper impact assessment.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of progressive experience as a Network Engineer or senior technical specialist.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Current industry certification (CCNA, Fortinet Certified Professional or JNCIA‑Junos).
• Expert‑level knowledge of BGP and EIGRP.
• Advanced switching experience (HSRP/VRRP, spanning‑tree, complex QoS).
• Strong firewall configuration and policy management skills.
• Proficiency with Wireshark and network performance monitoring platforms.
• Experience scripting in Python or Bash for network automation.
• Solid understanding of ITIL v4 Change, Incident and Problem Management processes.
