Production Supervisor – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Supervisor will lead daily manufacturing activities in the granulation, tableting, and coating areas of a pharmaceutical plant. The role ensures that production plans are executed efficiently while maintaining strict compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations in granulation, tableting, and coating departments.
• Coordinate production plans with Planning and Manufacturing teams.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and coach production staff.
• Ensure adherence to Batch Manufacturing Records and SOPs.
• Monitor critical process parameters and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with QA/QC for sampling, in‑process approvals, and batch progression.
• Oversee equipment cleaning, readiness, and maintenance coordination.
• Investigate deviations, conduct root‑cause analysis, and support CAPA implementation.
• Track and analyze KPIs such as productivity, waste, downtime, and rejection rates.
• Maintain occupational health & safety compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
