Sales and Business Development Executive

About the role

Al Salwa Publishers, an award‑winning Arabic children’s and young adult publishing house, is seeking a full‑time Sales and Business Development Executive based in Amman. The role focuses on expanding relationships with key customers and partners, identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow relationships with key customers and partners.
• Identify and pursue new sales and business opportunities.
• Manage the sales cycle from prospecting through to closing and follow‑up.
• Visit customers and build strong, long‑term relationships.
• Understand customer needs and translate them into sales opportunities.
• Track sales activity, opportunities and results.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations and the wider team to deliver a great customer experience.
• Contribute ideas to improve how we sell and grow.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of proven sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Confident communicator with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, comfortable opening new doors and pursuing results.
• Commercially curious and motivated by achieving targets.
• Able to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
• Organized, persistent and good at following through.
• Flexible to travel to events and book fairs as needed.
• Fluent in Arabic and English; publishing experience is a plus.
