Senior Accounting Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Advisor to oversee banking and Orange Money operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive automation initiatives within our finance team. The role will involve managing journal entries, reconciliations, guarantees, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all banking and Orange Money activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Reconcile banking transactions (deposits, payments, interest, transfers) in line with Group policies.
• Issue and manage financial guarantees, coordinating extensions or closures with relevant departments.
• Collaborate with JTG and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial actions on bank accounts and Orange Money.
• Lead digital transformation by automating bank reconciliations and Orange Money transactions using RPA or other tools.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and ensuring compliance.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Utilize Oracle ERP to manage financial data, generate reports, and streamline workflows.
• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports to management and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, implementing corrective actions and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (mandatory).
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, banking, or finance.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP system for financial data management and reporting.
• Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools for automating reconciliations and transactions.
