Senior Audit & Assurance – External Audit

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior professional to join its Audit & Assurance team in Jordan. You will lead external audit engagements, build trust with clients, and ensure high‑quality delivery across complex business environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adapt audit scope and referral instructions, aligning with group audit structures.
• Liaise with onshore and offshore Centres of Excellence, providing accurate information and tracking deliverables.
• Link risks, controls, procedures and findings across the audit file and meet audit quality milestones.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and clearly separates accounting from auditing judgments.
• Challenge audit timing and propose efficiencies while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in external audit, preferably within a large professional services firm.
• Strong understanding of regulatory impact, risk management, and industry‑specific statistics.
• Ability to build relationships beyond finance to grasp the client’s business model.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate audit findings and recommendations.
