Senior Auditor – Operations & Support

About the role

Bank of Jordan is looking for a meticulous Senior Auditor to lead audits of its operational and support functions. You will evaluate processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of operational and support areas, checking compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and propose enhancements to boost productivity and reduce risk.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and deliver actionable recommendations to management.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and management responses.
• Collaborate with operational teams to understand workflows, gather data, and advise on control measures.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on action items.
• Stay informed on industry best practices, regulatory updates, and emerging operational risks.
• Support the development and execution of the annual audit plan and risk assessments.
• Mentor and support junior auditors within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
• Professional auditing certification (e.g., CIA, CISA) is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of internal or operational auditing experience within the banking sector.
• Strong knowledge of operational processes, risk‑management frameworks, and internal‑control methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
