Senior Country Operations Manager

About the role

The Senior Country Operations Manager leads DHL’s national operations, overseeing pick‑up, delivery, counter services and shipment processing to meet defined service, cost and quality standards. The role is responsible for operational budgeting, customs clearance, security and facility management across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Direct accountability for service performance and operational cost against targets, including maintaining BIC Gateway status and TAPA security standards.
• Manage all country facilities, plan new locations, and ensure ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 compliance.
• Support sales acquisition and customer relationship management from an operations perspective, driving profitable revenue growth.
• Oversee customs clearance for inbound and outbound shipments to achieve transit‑time standards.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the operations team, ensuring staffing, training and performance standards are met.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale logistics or transport operations, preferably in a multi‑national environment.
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures, security regulations and ISO quality, environmental and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Ability to develop and execute operational budgets and cost‑control initiatives.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate diverse teams.
