About the role
IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Data Officer to lead quantitative data management and analysis for its occupied Palestinian territories (oPt) programme based in Amman. The role supports evidence‑driven humanitarian interventions across Gaza and the West Bank, ensuring high‑quality data products for coordination and strategic decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of quantitative research cycles, including sampling strategies and data collection tools.
- Oversee data cleaning, validation, and statistical analysis using appropriate software and scripts.
- Produce analytical outputs such as dashboards, reports, and visualisations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical guidance to Data Officers and assessment teams.
- Continuously improve data management workflows and ensure methodological consistency.
Required profile
- At least 5 years of experience in quantitative data management, analysis, and research design, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver high‑quality analytical products under tight timelines.
- Strong understanding of sampling methodologies, data cleaning processes, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
