Senior Telemedicine Specialist

About the role

The Senior Telemedicine Specialist will lead the evaluation of telemedicine services, shaping analytical frameworks and ensuring that service designs meet clinical, regulatory, and quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to assess past performance, model future service options, and provide evidence‑based recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted input to the design of evaluation approaches, including telemedicine analytical frameworks and Theory of Change reconstruction.
• Advise on technical dimensions such as clinical appropriateness, service scope, quality criteria, and relevant standards.
• Identify key assumptions, risks, and enabling conditions affecting telemedicine performance and sustainability.
• Interpret service data and performance indicators to determine meaningful outcomes.
• Assess current service design, workforce models, utilisation patterns, and operational practices.
• Offer technical advice on alternative service models, including feasibility, strengths, limitations, and governance considerations.
• Review draft evaluation findings, ensure technical soundness of conclusions, and present results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in telemedicine service evaluation and health‑service analysis.
• Strong understanding of clinical appropriateness, regulatory and legal frameworks governing telemedicine.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations and report preparation.
