Student Life Officer

About the role

The Student Life Officer will support the wellbeing and personal development of students aged 3 to 19 at Amman Academy, an IB‑world school in West Amman. The role blends pastoral care, community building and coordination of extracurricular activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise student‑led events, clubs and wellbeing programmes.
• Provide day‑to‑day pastoral support and act as a first point of contact for student concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers, counsellors and senior leadership to promote a safe, inclusive school environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student participation, attendance and incident reports.
• Assist in the implementation of the IB ethos and values across student life initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in a similar student‑support or youth‑development role.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate system is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong communication and storytelling abilities.
• High level of organisation and time‑management.
• Solid IT proficiency for record‑keeping and communication tools.
