Urban Programme and Partnerships Officer

About the role

The Urban Programme and Partnerships Officer supports the design, implementation, coordination, monitoring and development of UN‑Habitat Jordan’s portfolio. Working under the Programme Manager, the officer advances sustainable urban development, climate resilience, governance and inclusive urbanisation priorities through technical support, partnership building and resource mobilisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the effective and timely implementation of UN‑Habitat programmes.
• Identify opportunities for collaboration and joint programming with national and international partners.
• Support resource mobilisation, including drafting concept notes, project proposals and donor communication.
• Contribute to donor engagement activities such as meetings, presentations and reporting.
• Participate in programme development, monitoring, evaluation and analysis of project implementation.
• Facilitate coordination among implementing partners and stakeholders to align activities and results.
• Provide technical assistance in analysis, report writing, knowledge management and programme branding.
• Coordinate capacity‑building initiatives for key institutions and mechanisms, offering training and technical inputs to urban policies and strategies.
