Accountant – Full-time, On-site in Amman

About the role

Arabiat & Partners Lawyers is seeking a full-time Accountant to join its Amman office. The role will support the firm’s financial operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare and issue invoices, manage accounts receivable and payable.
• Reconcile bank statements and perform month-end closing activities.
• Assist with payroll processing and tax return preparation.
• Produce periodic financial reports and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with legal and administrative teams during audits and regulatory compliance checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in professional services or law firms.
• Strong knowledge of Jordanian tax regulations, VAT and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in general ledger management and bank reconciliations.
• Month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Tax compliance and VAT management.
