Accounts Receivable Executive

About the role

Apgecommerce is hiring an Accounts Receivable Executive in Amman, reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager. The role safeguards revenue and cash flow by maintaining accurate billing records, issuing and reviewing invoices, and supporting the finance team with billing and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable debit and credit notes into the correct general ledger accounts in Xero.
• Monitor credit policies to ensure timely payments and reduce bad debt risk.
• Maintain complete billing documentation and records.
• Review and correct invoice errors before they are issued.
• Propose and implement approved improvements to billing procedures.
• Prepare and deliver customer bills by email or other channels.
• Handle customer billing inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Prepare weekly reports and reconciliations on time.
• Support the wider finance department with billing, month-end activities and financial reports.

Required profile

• Finance background preferred; knowledge of bookkeeping, credit control and finance terminology preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational skills, including multitasking, and adherence to deadlines for invoicing and auditing.
• Comfortable handling and analysing large datasets.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• MS Office, including Excel, PowerBI and Outlook.
• Xero (accounts receivable entries).
