Applied Scientist Intern – 2026 (Machine Learning & AI)

About the role

Amazon Science is seeking 2026 Applied Scientist Interns to work on cutting‑edge problems in machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, robotics, computer vision, and related fields. Interns will join a collaborative research environment and contribute to production‑ready solutions that impact Amazon customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop end‑to‑end systems that solve novel research problems.
• Write technical white papers, create roadmaps, and drive production‑level projects.
• Collaborate closely with Amazon scientists and fellow interns to prototype, test, and deploy algorithms and models.
• Design new algorithms, models, or technical solutions and integrate them into Amazon services.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a PhD or Master’s program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related field.
• Ability to work with diverse, cross‑functional teams to solve complex business problems.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or a related language.
