Area Sales Manager – Cash Van Operations

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead cash‑van sales activities across the assigned territory, ensuring sales targets are met, market coverage is effective, and the team delivers high‑quality service to customers. This role combines strategic planning with hands‑on field supervision to drive growth in the food and FMCG sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and supervise Cash Van Sales Supervisors within the designated region.
• Monitor supervisors’ schedules and guarantee regular, effective daily market visits.
• Coordinate sales expansion plans and the opening of new markets with supervisors.
• Ensure product availability according to distribution plans and address customer needs.
• Handle customer complaints directly, providing timely and appropriate solutions.
• Conduct periodic meetings with supervisors to identify challenges and provide operational support.
• Submit recommendations for commission schemes for cash‑van staff, including supervisors, distributors, and drivers.
• Perform regular field visits to customers to maintain service quality and strengthen relationships.
• Analyse market demand, track competitor pricing and product specifications, and report insights.
• Maintain professional communication channels with customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar sales management role.
• Proven experience in the Food or FMCG industry.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
