Art Teacher

About the role

Amman Academy, an IB World School in Jordan, is seeking a passionate Art Teacher to join its bilingual (English‑Arabic) community. You will inspire students aged 3‑19 to explore visual creativity while supporting the International Baccalaureate framework.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and assess engaging art lessons across primary and secondary levels.
• Integrate IB approaches and interdisciplinary links into the art curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, well‑organised studio environment and manage art supplies and equipment.
• Provide constructive feedback and track student progress through portfolio assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross‑curricular projects and school events.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development and school-wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Art or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB setting.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to tell stories through visual media and engage diverse learners.

Required skills

• Solid IT skills, including proficiency with digital art tools and classroom technology.
