Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the restaurant team in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring smooth daily operations. This full‑time position works on‑site at our Al‑Hashemi Street location in Aqaba, overseeing service standards, staff coordination, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead staff to provide optimal service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect staff grooming, attire, and correct any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and securing the premises.
• Maintain organized storage areas, enforce FIFO, and ensure cleanliness.
• Conduct inventories, manage stock, and requisition supplies.
• Monitor dining room seating, service flow, safety, and guest well‑being.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees.
• Uphold company policies, safety procedures, and report incidents.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and provide courteous assistance, including for individuals with disabilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant restaurant experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Strong communication skills and professional appearance.
• Ability to work extended periods standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lb.
• Commitment to confidentiality and protection of company assets.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of inventory management and FIFO principles.
• Familiarity with opening and closing restaurant procedures.
• Understanding of safety and security protocols in a hospitality environment.
