Associate - External Audit (UAE/KSA)

About the role

Deloitte is hiring an Associate in its Audit & Assurance (External Audit) team, based in Amman, Jordan, to support engagements across the UAE or KSA. The associate builds trust with stakeholders, delivers high-quality audit services and develops capabilities in audit quality, risk and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Understand stakeholder expectations and the impact of regulation and risk management on business processes and controls
• Research key statistics and industry matters about the entity before the engagement begins
• Adapt template referral instructions to define the scope of procedures and audit focus, and liaise with onshore and offshore centres of excellence
• Track deliverables from component auditors and link risks, controls, procedures and findings across the EMS file
• Articulate audit quality milestones and the rationale behind the audit plan timings
• Prepare documentation by anticipating reviewer questions and distinguishing accounting, auditing and professional judgement
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function and apply professional scepticism
• Apply sound judgement and integrity, including knowledge of confidentiality, data handling and ethical use of AI tools

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field; graduate degree desired
• International accounting qualification desired: CA, ACCA or CPA, preferably CA
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing); bilingual Arabic/English preferred
• Located in Amman, Jordan, available to travel to the UAE or KSA as required
