ATC Specialist, Liaison - CIC

About the role

The ATC Specialist, Liaison – CIC is responsible for the safe and efficient flow of air traffic within the assigned control airspace, ensuring compliance with ICAO and FAA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain situational awareness and apply separation rules to achieve required aircraft separation.
• Coordinate with controllers and personnel to relay safety‑critical information, including emergencies.
• Manage vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield.
• Process flight plans and supervise approach, departure, and arrival procedures.
• Operate control tower functions and possess fundamental knowledge of radar/manual approach control.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC course.
• At least eight years of ATC experience, including one year in a similar facility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance, FAA Class II Medical Certificate, and US CENTCOM Medical Exam.

Required skills

• FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate or equivalent FAA/AOV credential with tower rating.
• Knowledge of ATC rules, regulations, and techniques for tower and approach control operations.
