Audit Assistant

About the role

MGI Worldwide JO - SOAAC, a member firm of MGI Worldwide offering audit, tax, accounting and consulting services, is hiring a full-time, on-site Audit Assistant in Amman. The role supports audit teams in planning and carrying out financial audits, including testing controls, verifying transactions and reviewing supporting documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing working papers and help draft audit findings and audit reports under supervision.
• Analyze financial statements, identify variances or irregularities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients, maintain accurate records and follow firm policies and professional ethics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or a final-year student nearing completion.
• Experience or coursework in financial audits and audit reports, including familiarity with basic audit procedures and documentation.
• Foundational knowledge of finance principles such as budgeting, reporting and key financial ratios.
• Attention to detail, strong organization and the ability to handle several tasks by deadline.
• Clear written and verbal English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills for evaluating financial data, spotting trends and detecting inconsistencies or risks.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, and comfort working with financial data.
