Automation QA Engineer - AI Systems (Senior Consultant)

About the role

EY's AI Hub is looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability and performance of its applications, including AI-powered products built on modern web stacks. The role focuses on designing and maintaining automated test suites for Next.js and Python applications, with a strong emphasis on cross-browser testing and CI/CD integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks and suites for web applications (Next.js frontend, Python backend/services)
• Develop and run cross-browser test scripts for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar) for continuous testing
• Work with developers, product managers and other QA engineers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
• Track bugs through to resolution and perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing
• Improve test coverage, automation efficiency and QA processes
• Help plan tests for AI-driven features and set quality benchmarks for AI model outputs where applicable
• Maintain test environments and test data

Required profile

• 4-8 years of experience in automation QA / SDET roles
• Strong hands-on experience testing web applications, ideally with Next.js/React frontends
• Proficiency in Python for test automation scripts and frameworks
• Solid experience with cross-browser testing tools and strategies
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Strong analytical and debugging skills, attention to detail, good communication and teamwork

Nice to have

• Experience on AI/ML projects (testing AI model outputs, chatbots, LLM features)
• API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured
• Performance or load testing
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
