Bilingual Japanese-English Virtual Assistant for Short-Term Rentals

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized, customer‑focused Virtual Assistant fluent in Japanese and English to support the daily operations of our short‑term rental portfolio. You will manage guest communications, coordinate reservations, and ensure a seamless experience from booking to check‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest inquiries and reservation requests in Japanese and English.
• Manage listings and calendars on Airbnb, Booking.com, and VRBO.
• Coordinate check‑ins, check‑outs, and provide ongoing guest support.
• Handle booking modifications, cancellations, and special requests.
• Liaise with cleaners, maintenance teams, and vendors to keep properties guest‑ready.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor occupancy, upcoming reservations, and operational tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and update property information.
• Perform general administrative and operational support tasks.

Required profile

• Fluent in written and spoken Japanese and English.
• Previous experience in short‑term rentals, hospitality, customer service, or virtual assistance preferred.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet remote workspace.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
