BIM Modeler – Design Engineer

About the role

The BIM Modeler will support substation projects by creating and maintaining detailed BIM models in Revit and related tools. You will work closely with the BIM Coordinator and discipline leads to ensure model accuracy and compliance with project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce discipline‑specific BIM models according to the BIM Execution Plan and Task Information Delivery Plan.
• Develop models to required LOD/LOI at each project stage and populate them with accurate geometry, attributes and metadata.
• Publish and update models in the Common Data Environment, perform self‑checks, and support clash detection and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with BIM Coordinator, discipline leads and project engineers, and participate in coordination meetings and model reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5‑6 years overall experience with 3‑4 years in BIM processes for substation projects.
• Strong modeling skills in Revit and exposure to Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Ability to produce layouts, detailed drawings and interpret specifications.

Required skills

• Revit (including parametric families, templates, schedules).
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and CDE workflows.
• Understanding of LOD/LOI concepts and BIM standards.
• Clash detection, model federation and issue resolution.
• Familiarity with Tekla, Civil 3D, and BIM Execution Plan documentation.
