Category Manager – Grocery Store

About the role

Delivery Hero’s Talabat is expanding its own grocery store brand, tMart, across the Middle East. We are looking for a Category Manager to own the full lifecycle of product categories, from assortment and pricing to promotions and supplier relationships, supporting rapid growth in Jordan.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of category management, including assortment planning, pricing strategy, promotional calendars, and supply coordination.
• Monitor economic performance of assigned categories, ensuring sales, gross margin and profit align with the commercial strategy.
• Negotiate with local suppliers, manage contracts, and oversee purchasing terms such as cost price, discounts and payment conditions.
• Collect market price data, conduct price audits, and adjust pricing according to guidelines and competitive insights.
• Develop and execute promotional activities, track their effectiveness, and provide analytical input for future campaigns.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple product categories in large retail or FMCG environments, preferably in an international setting.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects and build high‑performing teams.
• Detail‑oriented, structured, and capable of prioritising tasks to deliver solutions.
• Willingness to engage in all aspects of the business, from warehouse floor work to customer interactions.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
