Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant

About the role

Almond Coffee House Group is seeking a full‑time Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant to lead its accounting function in Amman, Jordan. You will ensure accurate financial reporting for its bakery and coffee operations while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, including general ledger management and transaction recording.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank and inventory reconciliations, and monitor cost of goods sold and operating expenses.
• Ensure compliance with Jordanian accounting standards, tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and drive improvements in accounting systems and internal controls.
• Supervise and develop junior accounting staff as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Senior or Chief Accountant, preferably in food‑and‑beverage or hospitality.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is highly beneficial.
