Commis II – Airport Lounge & Transit Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis II to join our airport lounge and transit hotel kitchen team. In this position you will support the preparation and presentation of high‑quality dishes for travelers across more than 60 international airports. You will work closely with senior chefs to ensure consistency, safety and efficiency in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and perform basic cooking duties such as chopping, mixing, marinating, and portioning.
• Assist senior chefs in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure mise en place is completed for your assigned section before each service period.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment.
• Follow food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP) at all times.
• Store food items properly, label, and rotate stock to minimize wastage.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting food deliveries to ensure quality and quantity standards are met.
• Support kitchen team in daily operations and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Learn and develop new skills, techniques, and menu items as guided by supervisors.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional training.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen (hotel, restaurant or lounge preferred).
• Knowledge of basic cooking methods and kitchen operations.
• Excellent hygiene practices and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure within a multicultural team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic hospitality environment.
