About the role
The Commis II supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining a clean work environment. This full‑time position is based at the Marriott property on Al‑Hashemi Street in Aqaba.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test foods for proper cooking.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and clean and disinfect kitchen areas and equipment.
- Monitor food quality, ensure temperature compliance, and follow safety and company policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions.
Required skills
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
