Compliance Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer with practical experience in the financial sector. The role will oversee compliance functions, ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations, and develop and update policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements issued by relevant authorities.
• Develop and update compliance policies and procedures, including AML/CFT and financial sanctions policies.
• Implement and monitor compliance programs, conduct periodic assessments, and prepare regulatory reports.
• Provide internal compliance and governance awareness training and contribute to risk assessments.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research, monitor legislative developments, and advise management on regulatory changes.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities, partners, and internal departments to ensure implementation of compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field (Law degree preferred).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in the financial sector, financial services companies, investment or brokerage firms.
• Practical experience in compliance, corporate governance, risk management and dealing with regulatory authorities.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, research and reporting abilities, with high attention to detail.
