Database Administrator – Multi‑Platform DBA

About the role

Digital Gates is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to operate and protect a diverse database estate across multiple platforms. You will ensure that our systems remain performant, available, recoverable, and secure while supporting global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Administer databases on MS SQL, IBM Db2, PostgreSQL, Oracle and MongoDB (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Monitor performance, conduct tuning, optimization and defragmentation.
• Manage backup and restore processes, apply patches and perform version upgrades.
• Support disaster‑recovery readiness, testing and documentation.
• Provide security and compliance support, including access management, hardening and audit evidence.
• Troubleshoot incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and maintain accurate inventories and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on DBA operations experience.
• Strong working knowledge of at least one of the listed database technologies.
• Relevant DBA certifications are a plus (Microsoft, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Willingness to work after‑hours maintenance windows and participate in a 24×7 on‑call rotation.
