DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our professional services team in Amman. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting modern application architectures using the latest technologies. You will work directly with customers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions from concept through deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement application software architectures following best practices.
• Install, upgrade, and configure application software across environments.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for application performance issues.
• Document operational procedures, guides, and best‑practice recommendations.
• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies to improve service delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in DevOps or related fields.
• Ability to solve problems under pressure and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Self‑motivated, fast learner, and comfortable working both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Linux and AIX operating systems.
• IBM product knowledge.
• DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
• Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Red Hat OpenShift platform.
• Experience with databases, networking, and web/application servers.
• Scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
