Director of Sales (Hotel)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Director of Sales to lead the sales strategy of our hotel. As a key member of the leadership team, you will shape revenue growth across all market segments and inspire the sales team to exceed commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic approaches to maximise performance throughout seasonal fluctuations.
• Create and implement sales plans based on market intelligence to drive incremental occupancy, average rates, and food‑and‑beverage/banquet sales.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly performance reports and share insights with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners and community leaders.
• Achieve personal and team sales targets while maximising profitability.
• Organise special events, sales blitzes and attend trade shows to showcase the hotel.
• Communicate VIP and large‑group requirements to relevant departments.
• Lead marketing initiatives to upsell hotel services and promote sustainable/green offerings.
• Represent the hotel in media enquiries and raise brand awareness locally.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Sales or a related field (preferred).
• 5–7 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in an international or luxury environment.
• Previous senior sales roles such as Senior Sales Manager, Associate Director of Sales or Director of Sales.
