Director of Style

About the role

The Director of Style will oversee daily shift operations for housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry (if applicable) at a hotel property in Amman. This full‑time, onsite position ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and meet brand standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate housekeeping shift schedules, assign rooms for cleaning, and communicate room status to the Front Desk promptly.
• Work with Engineering to address guestroom maintenance needs and supervise the general cleaning schedule for the property.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and uniforms, and assist with ordering as needed.
• Conduct inspections of guestrooms and public spaces, document deficiencies, and follow up to ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Manage departmental controllable expenses, monitor budgets, payroll reports, and strive to meet or exceed financial targets.
• Respond to guest complaints, promote exceptional customer service, and empower staff to resolve issues effectively.
• Participate in HR activities such as staffing, accident investigations, and enforcement of property policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
• Strong communication and supervisory skills to lead a diverse housekeeping team.
• Ability to manage inventory, budgets, and operational reports.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to maintaining high service standards.
