English Language Instructor – Military ELT Program (Jordan)

About the role

Amideast is seeking qualified English Language Instructors to deliver General and Specialized American English training to military personnel in Jordan. The role involves intensive classroom instruction, student assessment, and academic counseling within a structured military training environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver English language instruction covering reading, writing, listening, and speaking, following the approved ELT curriculum.
• Prepare and execute lesson plans tailored to student proficiency levels and course objectives.
• Assign, evaluate, and provide feedback on homework, quizzes, and assessments.
• Track, document, and report student attendance, performance, and academic progress.
• Provide academic counseling and remedial support to students requiring additional instruction.
• Participate in instructor meetings, professional development sessions, and required reporting.
• Design and adapt supplementary instructional materials to support curriculum goals.

Required profile

• Professionalism, discretion, and cultural sensitivity in a military training setting.
• Ability to work independently and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage adult learners.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ESL/EFL instructional methodology.
• Experience delivering curriculum based on Defense Language Institute or equivalent standards.
