Experienced Associate – Audit & Assurance (External Audit) – JRC, Oman

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Experienced Associate to join its Audit & Assurance team in Oman, focusing on external audit engagements for the Jordanian Resources Center (JRC). The role involves delivering high‑quality audit services, building stakeholder trust, and supporting the audit lifecycle from planning to reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding service expectations.
• Deliver high‑quality audit services, applying knowledge of regulation and risk management.
• Prepare and adapt referral instructions to define audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with onshore and offshore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and link risks, controls, procedures, and findings across the audit file.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and contribute to overall audit quality.
• Challenge audit plan timings and propose earlier execution where feasible.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in external audit and assurance engagements.
• Strong understanding of regulatory impact on business processes and controls.
• Ability to interpret key industry statistics and entity information before engagements.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse audit teams.
• Proactive approach to tracking and linking audit evidence.
