Senior Placement Broker – Property & Engineering Lines

About the role

EXOS is seeking a technically strong and commercially driven Senior Placement Broker to lead Property and Engineering reinsurance programs. The role blends deep underwriting analysis with market‑facing brokering skills to deliver tailored solutions for cedants worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead placement of Property and Engineering reinsurance programs in international markets.
• Structure, negotiate and price terms with reinsurers on behalf of clients.
• Prepare and present comprehensive placement submissions, including risk analysis and technical data.
• Manage the full placement cycle from slip preparation to binding and documentation.
• Conduct in‑depth technical analysis of risks such as CAR, EAR, Machinery Breakdown and Business Interruption.
• Review policy wordings, endorsements and coverage structures, providing technical guidance to clients and internal teams.
• Monitor market trends, capacity and pricing movements in the Property and Engineering lines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, underwriters and clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and represent the company at client meetings, market visits and industry events.
• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and compliance with regulatory and company policies.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in reinsurance broking, insurance underwriting, or a combined role within Property and Engineering lines.
• Solid technical knowledge of Property and Engineering insurance products, including CAR, EAR, Property All Risk, Machinery Breakdown and Business Interruption.
• Proven experience negotiating terms and managing placements with reinsurers.
• Strong understanding of policy wordings, coverage structures and market practices.
