Experienced Associate – External Audit (Jordan)

About the role

The Experienced Associate will join Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice in Jordan, supporting external audit engagements for a variety of clients. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality audit services, building stakeholder trust, and contributing to the overall audit plan from start to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand service expectations and business context.
• Deliver audit procedures that reflect current regulations, risk management standards, and industry best practices.
• Prepare and adapt referral instructions, clearly defining audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence, ensuring accurate and complete information exchange.
• Track deliverables from component auditors, linking risks, controls, procedures and findings across the audit file.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and monitor their contribution to overall audit quality.
• Challenge audit timing assumptions and propose more efficient execution where appropriate.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of audit methodology, regulatory impact and risk management.
• Ability to analyse key statistics and industry data before engagements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder liaison.
• Proactive attitude in tracking and linking audit components and milestones.
• Capacity to build relationships beyond the finance function to gain broader business insight.
