Field CTO

About the role

We are looking for a Field CTO to drive AI presales and solution design, ensuring technical feasibility and delivering end‑to‑end proof‑of‑concepts that accelerate the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI presales engagements and embed in live pursuits to validate technical feasibility before scope finalisation.
• Own the full design of PoC/PoV, including architecture, data, and integration approach, scoped tightly to prove the value hypothesis.
• Build and ship PoC/PoV solo or with a small team, meeting sales‑cycle timelines.
• Assess technical architecture and compliance risks (security, data residency, integration complexity) during pursuits.
• Engage specialised resources (Solution Architect, Data Scientist, MLOps Engineer) only when deeper technical proof is required.
• Provide a structured handover to delivery teams with blueprints, risk logs, and technical narratives.
• Act as the senior technical voice in client‑facing presentations and technical defence sessions.
• Collaborate with AI Deployment Strategist to keep scope realistic against timeline and budget.
• Coach junior technical staff embedded in the same pursuit and manage multiple concurrent pursuits when needed.

Required profile

• 15–20 years of hands‑on engineering and architecture experience with production‑grade AI solutions.
• Full‑stack expertise across data, model, integration, and agentic layers.
• Deep familiarity with major cloud AI platforms (Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI) and open‑source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph).
• Strong understanding of enterprise AI compliance (security architecture, data residency, integration risk).
• Proven ability to translate PoC pathways into production roll‑outs.
• Excellent client‑facing communication and presentation skills under sales‑cycle pressure.
• Prior experience in forward‑deployed, startup, or embedded‑consulting environments is a plus.
