Freelance Finance Consultant (Jordan)

About the role

DROSOS FOUNDATION is seeking a part‑time Freelance Finance Consultant to strengthen the financial management capacity of its partner organisations in Jordan. The consultant will work on demand, providing expertise in accounting, reporting, audits and internal financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑award organisational assessments, analysing partners' financial and administrative capacities and recommending capacity‑building actions.
• Evaluate partners' funding sources, revenue streams and business plans, offering recommendations to improve financial sustainability.
• Review quarterly or semi‑annual financial reports and supporting documentation submitted by partners, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide guidance on financial standards, procedures, tax and social‑security requirements specific to Jordan.
• Travel to partner offices across Jordan as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and audit processes, preferably within NGOs or non‑profit organisations.
• Strong understanding of Jordanian financial regulations, tax and social‑security obligations.
• Ability to work independently on a freelance basis, managing own health insurance, IT equipment and transportation.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to capacity building.
