General Accountant – Commercial & Industrial Focus

About the role

We are a leading accounting and auditing firm seeking a General Accountant to support our commercial and industrial clients in Amman. The role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting and managing day‑to‑day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily accounting activities for client accounts.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger transactions.
• Handle cost accounting, inventory valuation, and supply‑chain financials for industrial and commercial operations.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable, and follow up on aging reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, closing procedures, and tax filings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven general accounting experience.
• Previous corporate experience within industrial and commercial companies.
• High proficiency with professional accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
