General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Maintain the accuracy and integrity of Kingdom Health's general ledger in line with IFRS and Group accounting policies. Support month‑end, year‑end closing, and financial reporting across the Group, including the Hospital and University.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare day‑to‑day journal entries with proper classification and documentation.
• Maintain capital work in progress and fixed‑asset registers, handling additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and adjusting entries.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, GL accounts, sub‑ledgers, and intercompany balances, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Support preparation of monthly standalone and consolidated financial statements and tax reports.
• Assist ERP implementation, maintenance, and enhancements related to accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax laws, Group policies, internal controls, and support audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–4 years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably in hospital/healthcare finance.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet closing deadlines.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar) and involvement in ERP implementations.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation workbooks).
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and its application to general ledger accounting.
