Health & Nutrition Coordinator – Syria (Damascus/Aleppo)

About the role

The Health & Nutrition Coordinator will support the delivery of comprehensive primary health care, reproductive health, child health and nutrition services to vulnerable populations in Syria. Reporting to the Head of Office, the role works closely with Health & Nutrition Technical Advisors and partner organisations to strengthen health systems and improve access to essential services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and lead the establishment of an integrated nutrition component within existing service delivery points.
• Develop, review and monitor detailed implementation plans for health and nutrition projects, ensuring compliance with Save the Children strategies and donor guidelines.
• Review partners’ narrative and financial reports and prepare monthly BvA and award review meetings.
• Coordinate the preparation of high‑quality donor reports that clearly reflect project outputs.
• Oversee implementation of health and nutrition activities with partners, monitoring against log‑frames, work plans and performance indicators.
• Collaborate with emergency programme teams to ensure an integrated approach and share lessons learned.
• Manage grant compliance, budget revisions, authorise expenditures and monitor financial performance in line with donor and SCI guidelines.
• Provide supervision, guidance and direction to project staff as required.
