KG English Homeroom Teacher

About the role

Amman Academy is seeking a KG English Homeroom Teacher to join its bilingual International Baccalaureate (IB) community in West Amman. The teacher will deliver English instruction to kindergarten students, fostering a love of language through storytelling and interactive learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons for KG students.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback in line with IB standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and adhere to school policies and values.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, assessments and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English literature or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of the IB system is a plus.

• Strong communication skills.
• High levels of organization and time‑management.
• Solid IT skills.
• Natural storytelling ability.
